In winter, for the ultimate in relaxation, the hot tub comes into its own when clouds of therapeutic steam, gently rest on the surface of the water. With your body immersed in hot water and completely protected from the winter chill, the combination of the cool air and steam on one’s face is a truly blissful experience. On a clear night, unencumbered by the city lights, the sky comes alive with spectacular views of the Milky Way and the regular witnessing of shooting stars.
In late spring, summer and early autumn you can swim naked in our 40 foot outdoor swimming pool , while listening to relaxing music, and enjoying the freedom of a clothes free lifestyle. As the sun goes down you can watch flocks of swallows fly over, zig zaging in unison and marvel at Canadian snow geese as they settle in the lake for the evening, look at the horses grazing on the fields in the distance or watch as the heron catches fish for his night time supper.
If you are new to naturism and /or spirituality, or experienced, we welcome you to Alto Sax to have the opportunity to embrace the benefits of our centre, whether it is sunbathing on the patio, swimming as nature intended , blissfully soaking in our hot tub, warming up by the log fire or partaking in our tranquil meditation sessions for the development of inner peace and wisdom.

Nestled in the heart of the Essex countryside, Alto Sax is a unique luxury retreat centre that combines optional clothing naturism, tantra and spirituality. We provide romantic getaways, luxury accommodation, chill out relaxing music and also specialise in courses and workshops centred around massage, tantra, self development and spirituality (meditation based not psychic spirituality).
Friendly and informal we have created a truly relaxing environment where you can go on retreat, participate in our daily or weekend workshops or stay overnight/weekends and hear the birds sing in the mornings, while enjoying our luxurious meals made from fresh and sumptuous food and look out over the sun patio with views of the lake and rolling countryside.
We are only 1 hour from London and close to Stansted, Cambridge and Colchester, yet due to our unique secluded location you can enjoy total peace and relaxation. The house is over 400 years old and is full of character and charm, filled with oak beams, wood
panelling and a classic large country style kitchen with views out to the swimming pool
and lake. The rooms are bright and airy and the lounge / workshop area has a huge open
fireplace where in the colder months, you can toast marshmallows, perhaps enjoy a glass of wine and unwind. We also have an outdoor heated hot tub which is drenched in sunshine in the summer.
