Tara and I blessed with a wonderful relationship - when we met we were both so inspired by each others achievements and attitudes. It was the first time that either of us had had a spiritual partner.
We have been together five years now and both saw the “sacred sex video” on Channel 4 about 15 years ago. However, our partners at the time were not receptive to this approach and so we had to explore it on our own.
It is such a wonderful experience to have a partner that is on the same path as oneself. We are both committed to spiritual and personnel development and are both very open and creative in our approach to life. Life is never boring and we pretty much live, as our friends call it, “an inspired life”.
We started this centre because we wanted something similar to our experiences, but hadn’t found it in the UK. We have both been to numerous retreat centres and naturist venues and wanted to combine the best of both.
I think that we have achieved this at Alto Sax. Alto Sax is a place to explore spiritual and personnel development, naturism, and to experience tantra.
Unlike other tantra centres, we don’t stick to one form of tantra, but invite tantra teachers from different disciplines to come and teach, as we do ourselves.
My own spiritual journey has been through Buddhism, in which tantra plays an important part. I have studied with some fantastic teachers such as Ruth Dennison Joanna Macy, and Christopher Reed based in California, with the Samatha group in Wales, UK ( http://www.samatha.org/ ), with the FWBO, with Zen teacher,Thich Nhat Hanh a Vietnamese Buddhist monk ( http://www.plumvillage.org/ ) and also with Ajahn Cha and Ajahn Sumedho and other monks in the English Sangha Trust ( http://www.amaravati.org/ ).
Both Tara and I are also very much inspired by teachers such as Louise Hay ( http://www.hayhouse.com/ ) , Wayne Dyer, ( http://www.drwaynedyer.com/ ), Shirley MacLaine ( http://www.shirleymaclaine.com/ ), Julia Cameron ’The Artists Way’ & ‘The Right To Write‘, Deepak Chopra. Shakti Gawain, Denise Linn and also events such as the Aum Meditation sessions ( http://www.aummeditation.com/ ), Gabriel Roth’s 5 Rhythms ( http://www.5rhythmsuk.com/5rhythms.html ) , The Buddha field ( http://www.buddhafield.com/ ) the Big Green Gathering ( http://www.big-green-gathering.com/ ) and the Whirl y gig events ( http://www.whirl-y-gig.org.uk/ ).
We welcome guests that want to enjoy a quiet spiritual place that also embraces naturism and tantra. We think that we are the first venue in the World that is committed to both spirituality and naturism.
Another thing that sets us apart is that we don’t mind if our visitors want to consume alcohol when they come to stay. We first experienced this at various Osho events ( http://www.osholeela.co.uk ) and when we stayed at the Sea Mountain Lodge, in Malibu , California. We saw that this approach could work and still remain spiritual, peaceful and be inspiring. Visitors can have a spiritual holiday or come on courses or come on retreat with us most times of the year.
If you share our vision, why not give us a call or send us an e mail. There are also clothing optional days and some retreats which are fully clothed, if you are not ready to embrace naturism and the challenges and growth that one experiences by being naked - on your spiritual journey yet!
